TeamRetro: CNOS4 Challenge 1 #ootd

March 26, 2015

Hey there!

I know I didn't really update this space about my CNOS4 experience so far, so here it is!

For the first challenge, we have to take #ootd of our outfit, dressed like the characters in Our Sister Mambo. I was assigned to be Joey, who is the youngest among the sisters.

We decided to meet at Serangoon MRT and head towards Kombi Rocks to shoot our ootd because we want to have a retro, vintage looking background.

We were there at 2pm or so and the cafe wasn't that crowded so we could take photos in corners of the cafe!

Our group decided to shoot at three different locations:
1) Inside the cafe
2) Outside the cafe
3) Against the white wall (Well, duh)

There was this aircon which was in the middle of nowhere at the corner we wanted to shoot at so we moved it.

I really like this shot but the aircon ruined it ):

 Moved it! Hehehehe...

Ken! Who is potraying Grace, Old school kind of look with monochrome colored outfit as well as conservative with turtle neck pullover and jeans. #oldschoollikekaya
Casey, poraying Rose. Rose being a party girl is ever ready with her party dress paired, heels and makeup pouch in her expensive prada purse who knocks all guys off their feet with her beauty
#hotlikesambalbelacan

Mambo, the eldest sister is being potrayed by Shermaine. She is always looking out and caring her sisters. Some may find it kay poh, but some sees it unconditional love. #kaypohlikeaunty

Of course, this is me! Cute not! Im potraying Joey, the youngest among all. The most innocent, most carefree character of all. Im spazzing at myself too AHAHAHHA

Behind the scenes, our ever talented expert ootd taking Shermaine

Time to head out!

 Shoot in progress

The happiness on my face is priceless HAHA

 I like Ken's pose here!
Ken decided to do a walking ootd shot to see how it will turn out, and it turn out pretty well!
#teamretro!

We spent like damn long under the sun, sweating like crazy for the outdoor shoot. But! It's worth it because our pictures turned out great! There is a saying that always goes, ' Beauty over pain, anytime ' I guess when you are determined to have a perfect ootd picture with your teammates, everyone pressed on even the sunlight is unbearable for anyone to open their eyes.

Next, we went to find some white wall and took our final ootd so that we could have more options to choose from!

I love this shot omg! It's so aunty like yet keeping it stylish at the same time

Shermaine being the photographer, taking our beautiful ootds everywhere

Ken trying to be funny, HAHA! Is my doll that scary? :(

Tada! Our final ootd!

I'm really so blessed to be working in this team because everyone just seem to click with each other. There isn't any conflicts, and we planned out our outfit, where and when to meet so fast that we only took an entire day to get our ootd done. After the shoot we went to Casey's house to pick out our final ootd immediately after and we all agreed on the same picture. Talk about team efficient!

Everyone played and gave their part

Casey went to the trouble of calling the cafe to ask whether we could use the spot to take photos, lent us our space to sort out our ootd, she is always the first to speak up and give ideas and get everyone together because she is so easy to get along and talk to!

Shermaine is the expert of taking ootds. All the beautiful photos that all of you see above are mostly taken by her, always giving us directions such as what angle to stand and what pose to do to make us feel confident in what we do and also her photography skills are seriously AAA grade!

Ken, even though quiet, he is the one giving creative ideas like the walking shot, always taking the initiative to take pictures for our videos, even to the extend whereby he has to cross the road just to take a good photo of the place. He is the one who always remind us when to submit our posts and coordinate all of all posts.

I'm really just so thankful to have such wonderful and intiative-taking group mates, because without them, i wouldn't have gotten my video done without their images, couldn't have done this blog without their photos, wouldn't have a beautiful ootd without them. I love each and every one of them and I really hope we could win this challenge because I've seen everyone giving their 101% best. The drive and passion together with a strong teamwork is the reason why Im so proud of my group ootd. I'm sad that we would be parting as team mates soon and maybe be each other's competitors, but we will still remain as friends right? :)

Its been a long and tiring week, im exhausted as hell pulling an all nighter to coordinate all the pictures into a motion video and trying to come up with a killer caption for our final ootd which i had to get it drafted first and took me an hour to finalize it, #sorrynotsorry, im just a perfectionist when it comes down to little details like these. Hehehe.

Will keep you guys update soon on my CNOS4 experience, will update on challenge 2 when I've completed it!

Meanwhile, check out our group video here!

See you!
